Perhaps Ferguson – which has revealed what can happen when we suppress these conversations – will finally motivate us to think about how to address the harms, whether through material reparations or otherwise. If we’re willing to start talking, we’ll find no shortage of role models for transitional justice throughout the world to help us take the next steps.

Transitional is such a great camouflage word. It implies movement. Here in the People’s Republic of Massachusetts some prog decided to “partner” that word with “Assistance” as in the Department of Transitional Assistance, AKA the Welfare Department.
Nobody seems to be transitioning off of the roles however. So I wonder how “moving justice” would work?
I demand reparations for the damn Yankee Army and their negro camp followers looting and burning our farm in Mississippi in 1864 . The burned our homeplace and all the out buildings including the barn & chicken coops . They stole all our fowl and livestock and took apart and stole our fences . I agree. Every black person or family should be given one hundred grand and plane tickets back to the African country of their choice. With the proviso of no possible return to the U.S. under penalty of death. It would take us many decades to pay that off, but the end result would be well worth it. You can shower the black underclass with trillions of dollars in “reparations,” but nothing will really change except that black hoodlums will be doing their drive-by shootings from Maseratis and getting drunk on Johnny Walker Blue Label instead of Night Train.
The black underclass can only emerge from the cycle of poverty and crime by developing strong moral codes, a strong work ethic and a desire for learning and self-improvement combined with a rejection of Victicrats—to use a term coined by Larry Elder—such as Belinda Cooper.
It isn’t reparations they want. It’s repatriations! Give them each 50k and send them to any country they want to go, providing they give up citizenship.
This would be the point that everyone stops paying income taxes.
I fully agree, and it's time we pass a Constitutional amendment to deny voting rights to anyone who has accepted entitlements in the prior 5 years.

Want "reparations"? Fine. Take the check and the one-way ticket to the African Nation of your choice.
