There are some important differences.
Bush hadn’t ignored known national security holes. And the airplane attacks didn’t exploit security holes that existed because Bush was willfully not enforcing the law.
I think Bush was wrong to make that claim, but Bush was picking his battles. He didn’t want to have to fight the entire Muslim world at once.
And Bush did kick the ass of two terrorist states. He spent too much to do it. As opposed to Obama which has undone much of what Bush accomplished.
Iraq was a colossal mistake. I know it would have been near impossible, but the true problems might have been (nuclear-armed) Pakistan and Saudi Arabia, just to name two. Iraq was not major terror sponsor. I bought the Kool-Aid too, but it was nuts just the same.
You're out of touch Danny, our borders and reckless dangerous immigration policies have been a national security disaster before Bush was even in office.
After 911 what did Bush do Danny?
He brought in more from Muslims countries than entered the U.S. in the previous two decades.
It became so bad with Bush, it was found Bush's Homeland Security boss had people who entered the country illegally wandering around the inside of his private residence...During war time.
I could go on and on Danny.
Bush was an utter disaster.
He kicked ass in two terrorist states did he?
Ya talking about that 10 year long ‘compassionate’ war, which cost trillions in American treasure and laid was to thousands of Americans?
Ya think he was trying to make all these Muslims good Walmart shoppers?
We didn’t even get cheap gas out of it..What exactly did America win?
I think it’s a mixed bag, we should not forget sanctions had been applied to Iraq for 10 years or how many prior and UN inspectors could not get their inspections done. So for me, the picture is not perfectly clear. Even Obama’s intelligence chief former Lt. General Clapper seems to think the WMDs were transported out of Iraq. So, I myself don’t buy the simple narrative that we were all fooled or at least, I say it’s a bit more complex.
