Rand Paul is too kind in his assessment. I would have been more blunt about it:
"The biggest problem the Middle East faces right now is that Saddam Hussein and Muammar Gaddafi were far better at dealing with radical Islam than George W. Bush or Barack Hussein Obama."

I disagree. George Bush did a pretty good job of it. Obama let the Islamic radicals back in the game.

The modern world has too much visibility. Western society is too open. Communications technology has put everything in front of everyone all the time.
We won't make progress against this enemy until we start doing a lot of things in the dark.
