Its the question thats been burning up Twitter all day: why is Kirsten Gillibrand protecting congressional perverts?
Though no one covering the story will say it, the answer appears obvious: because they are probably fellow Democrats.
In a new book, the Democrat senator from New York recounts her experiences dealing with colleagues who routinely made lewd and other inappropriate comments about her appearance and sex appeal. As yet unreleased, the allegations emerged via a People Magazine interview, details of which were leaked to the New York Post.
Unfortunately, the former tobacco industry lawyer isnt fingering the culprits.

Schumer’s traveling secretary!
“pervert” is probably stretching the point, based on these anectdotes...but she should name names regardless
If she fingered the culprits wouldn’t she be guilty too?
She likes the attention, and is only “offended” enough to mention it?
In ages past, she’d have fluttered her eyelashes coyly and flitted a fan in front of her face while mentioning how outraged she was.
I wonder if an R or a D is attached to the persons in question? /sarc
That’s not the definition of a pervert.A pervert is a guy who comments on the sex appeal of another guy.A cad...a scumbag...a guy with absolutely no class...makes rude and unwelcome comments about a woman’s sex appeal.Of course they’re not to be confused with guys who offer gracious, dignified comments regarding a woman’s attractiveness. “That’s a very pretty hair style you have” isn’t perverted.
I read this story and while these guys sound a bit fresh I think calling them perverts is a tad off the mark. They are men who find an attractive woman attractive, it’s pretty much the opposite of perversion.
Yeah, I’m pretty sure if they were Rs she’d have squawked louder about it a long time ago, and No, I don’t think their behavior is acceptable. But Ms. Gillibrand is a big girl and I’m sure she can take care of herself.
Truly this is a tempest in a tea pot.
There is no need to worry until Patty Murray, Mary Landrieu, Barbara Mikulski complain of heterosexual harassment.
Mary Landrieu used to be eligible to complain about it. It’s been many years though.
The same silly gilly that complained that men are sexist today on CBS this morning? Sheesh, her head is a blimp.
