The sad truth remains that 5% of FReepers support 100% of FR. Can you imagine what it would be like if we had 10% support? These things would wrap up in days, not months.
When I joined FR ten years ago, it was not uncommon to git 'er done in 7-10 days. It was less expensive 10 years ago, but, it really shouldn't take two months.
Not everybody can donate. I get that. But, I'm certain that we have some among the 95% that are FReeploading. Harsh words, but I know it's true.
Imagine no FR. No way to get the REAL news that affects us all. No pool of talent to ferret out the real truth. No ability to call BS when we see it.
The list goes on.
We need your help. We need new donors. We need new blood.
If you've never donated, give it a whirl. If you donate once in a while, try monthly donations. It's really painless.
Imagine a Freepathon that lasts days, not months.
Amen, dearest xzins.
Big Bear Hugs back atcha Darlin’!
Can’t hardly wait ta see and hug ya!
Fair enough. Let us begin.
” - - - We spend most of our time here looking inward, doing nothing, and eating our own? - - - “
Let us take the many topics in your above quote, and provide some documentation to your accusations, as follows:
* We_________________________________________________________________.
* spend most of our time here___________________________________________________.
* looking inward__________________________________________________________.
* doing nothing___________________________________________________________.
* and eating our own______________________________________________________.
Take your time, and I’ll check back a week from today and carefully read your your documentation.
If your documentation is not accurate, then it just might be that you are part of the problem that seems to so deeply upset you.
BTW, don’t be to concerned, as 47 % of Americans are in the same boat as you are, unless you can document your accusations, of course.
You seem to think I’m part of the problem, so you first...
Nice try though, but that old dog won’t hunt.
All right you ignored my freepmail request. Now I’m telling you. Knock off the disruptions and the personal attacks. If you don’t like FR, be an adult and change the channel. If you continue trolling, I’ll change it for you.
SMILING!
We’ll have a grand time, like always!
I love you, big guy.
Not at all, I SUSPECT that you are part of the problem that so obviously seems to so very deeply disturb you.
With accurate documentation of your baseless accusations, you can allay my concern for your seemly poor communication skills, - - - you know, what each of us had to learn in kindergarten in order to become a first grader.
Ya butt-hurt, bro? We have a form you can fill out and submit to the mods.
I agree, the constant attacks on new comers could well be the reason that 5% pay 100%.
There’s my sweet angel! I can’t wait to see you, darlin’. xoxo
Here we go again!
(*Snort*)
That is funnier than many will comprehend. What a crowd it is.
Waaaaaaaaah.
Why are you here then?
You obviously hate FR with that attitude.

That is spot on.
Unless you like disruptorbots.
;-)
That's nice you have that opinion, but the man who set up and runs the web site, along with the adminstrators, views it differently.
FR does not exist for the purpose of driving traffic (read: revenue generation) to your, or anybody elses, blog.

I have no complaint if a good conservative blogger posts his own material to FR, not as an excerpt to drive hits and discussion back to his blog, but rather to impart useful information to OUR readers and to promote and join in on the discussion and conservative activism HERE on FR.

“Thanks newbie! Were all so blessed youre here!”
You seem to be one of those FR good-old-boys who believe that their sign-up date longevity gives them special status and carte blanche rights to make ad hominem attacks upon fellow FReepers.
You’ve done little if anything to advance your cause, whatever that might be, and have simply made a foolish public spectacle of yourself.
You know I’ve been here for 10+ years (wow I’m getting old) and I really don’t see how FR has changed much.
The only thing that’s changed are the length of time the FReepathons take. All that says to me though is that either a few huge donors left, a lot of smaller ones did, or costs of operation have risen. (Probably a combo of all 3).
All this means though is some newer guys need to start donating. (I won’t call them FReeploaders either it’s a personal choice really and I didn’t start until much later, and I’m no heavy donor I think I donate the least). But I digress....
...I really don’t see how the quality of FR has suffered over the years. Yeah there’s more Bush/GOP bashing than before but you know what?
1. Myself being a Bush voter (twice) I can now see how some of the things he did we’re not so “conservative” after all. Now that I look back and examine his record more objectively, and not emotionally (as comes with campaigning for someone as well as donating and voting for someone, all of which I did for Bush), but when I divorce myself from those memories, it’s clear he raised the debt (not conservative) and gave us prescription drug freebies (not conservative). All THAT said though, I’d still vote for him again (especially given the monstrosity in the WH today).
2. The fact of the matter is, the GOP of today, nationally speaking and not speaking of individual members per se, but the body as a whole, simply isn’t the same party that made the “Contract with America” and gave Clinton such strong resistance that he can actually (falsely) claim to this day that he reformed welfare. It just doesn’t stand up to the Democrats like it did in the 80’s and 90’s. It’s uninspiring, it’s weak, it’s a joke. The only reason to vote Republican at all is because third parties are a hopeless dream in any general election.
All FR is now, the way I see it, is as conservative as it was back when I first joined. It’s the GOP that has, again corporately not individually, abandoned its base. So FR hasn’t changed; the GOP has. Until those who are in leadership in the party realize this, it will continue to slide into irrelevancy. I’m still pragmatic but Mississippi was a watershed moment for me. And when McDonnell said he would “crush” the TEA party movement in the GOP. These guys can stuff it as far as I’m concerned. I think any conservative should get on this bandwagon. Or else there really won’t be any difference between the GOP and the Democrats, probably in only a few short years time.
I just might post that helpful guide to bloggers, as an Undead Thread edition.
Probably a terrible idea as they won’t listen OR care, but at least it will be out there.
Good zinger. Yup butt-hurt, very funny, clever. Thanks.
