You may often see articles in the media claiming that "research has shown" that children of same-sex couples are thriving, in fact are physically and psychologically doing just as well as, or even better than, children of couples who are -- let me use this currently underused word -- normal.
Are these works reliable?
In July such a study, carried out in Australia, was much trumpeted by that pillar of "progressive" thinking, the Washington Post, under the headline "Children of same-sex couples are happier and healthier than peers, research shows".
Researcher Simon Crouch and his team at the University of Melbourne surveyed 315 homosexual parents with a total of 500 children across Australia.
Crouch writes:
We found that children from same-sex families scored, on average, 6% better on two key measures, general health and family cohesion
In spite of doing well, many children did experience stigma, which was linked to lower scores on a number of scales.
In short, when children perform well it's due to same-sex parenting. When they perform not so well, it's due to stigma against same-sex parenting. A win-win situation for homosexual agitators.

She is putting it WAY to mildly. Such clear bias in the selection of samples makes their "study" completely divorced from science.
Good post!
Correct! 100% agreed. To stop this abuse and set up for failure.
Every couple really needs to sit down and look at the available information (Nancy Thomas: http://www.attachment.org/) and get down the strategy - then these kids will get security they need immediately to build the foundation to accept love later on.
It’s hard, no lie - but what about raising kids is easy (When they are sleeping)...but seriously, we, as responsible citizens at least need to adopt one child and protect that child and incorporate them into a stable home!
Canada Study: Kids in Gay Families Hampered in School

Summary
The study by Douglas Allen, an economics professor at Simon Fraser University in British Columbia, found that young adult children of same-sex couples are 35 percent less likely to graduate from high school than young adult children of traditional married couples.
The children of parents who had been in a homosexual relationship were more likely to be on welfare, have a history of depression, have inferior education, and report a history of sexual abuse.
New Research on Children of Same-Sex Parents Suggests Differences Matter

[N]ot one of the 59 studies referenced in the 2005 APA Brief compares a large, random, representative sample of lesbian or gay parents and their children with a large, random, representative sample of married parents and their children. The available data, which are drawn primarily from small convenience samples, are insufficient to support a strong generalizable claim either way
(Summary - nearly every study saying gay raised kids are OK come from parents who self-select, and almost no one who self-selects is a negative example.)
ompared to young adults in traditional, intact families, young adults whose mothers had a same-sex relationship tended to fare worse than their peers in intact biological families on 24 of the 40 outcomes examined. For example, they were far more likely to report being sexually victimized, to be on welfare, or to be currently unemployed.
Young adults whose fathers had a same-sex relationship showed significant differences from their peers in intact families on 19 of the outcomes. For example, they were significantly more likely to have contemplated suicide, to have a sexually transmitted infection, or to have been forced to have sex against their will.
Kids in Foster Care often spend far too long in it due to the fact the system is set up for reunification at almost any cost including the well being of the child. IF at some point kids are up for adoption it is likely 5 years into state custody and abandonment.
The ones {higher ups} in charge of the state agencies dealing with this are often Liberal Idealist with political agendas of which they are using the kids as pawns in as well as liberal courts. As a result kids suffer.
The worse position to be in is a kinship foster parent. Eventually all sides turn on you. The parents will, the state will, the kids G.A. will all for agenda.
Kids need stable loving homes and security. The current system is set up for anything but this and is only getting worse as focus goes off of children and more toward fringe group rights.
There are some good caseworkers out there but they are the exception. Many persons would also like to be Foster Parents. A word of advice I give is if a person does you need to be able to afford to lawyer up because you will likely need it and believe nothing you are told. When DCS, CPS, or whatever it is called in a state screws up they will hunt a scape goat. The first place they look is Foster Parents. Conservative Christian need not apply. Yes it's gotten that bad.
“Where sexual issues are concerned, we have completely abandoned common sense. All that matters now is political correctness, no matter who gets hurt or how badly.”
Progressives have been successful redefining “individual liberty” as sexual and reproductive freedom.
Why cruise gay bars when you can rape your adopted children? Less chance to get AIDS.

Why can’t ‘gays’ be like everybody else and just go buy a ‘blow up doll’ ?
