Merkel might be the Queen of Germany, but she is not the Queen of the western world. America could easily set her straight, but will it?

The Russian politicians and diplomats, after more than half of century of calling lies as truth, and fiction as fact, should not be believed. West should understand that a lie is an instrument of the foreign policy of Kremlin. Therefore in the mind of Kremlin “federalization” would be a first barrier preventing Ukraine from accession to the European Union and, of course, NATO.

Months of bloody military conflict confirmed that Kremlin via its proxies may massacre Ukrainians until their finally comply to its demands of submission and obedience.

It may not be unrealistic to think that if the pragmatic Germany sold Ukraine to Putin, unimpressed by the incredible price it paid in blood for its independence of the KGB regime in Moscow, it can also trade the other political achievements of Ronald Reagan with Russia. Let us not forget Germany want to have reasonable relations with Russia - uber alles.

Only Germany matters in this.

They have a lot to lose, but they also have an enormous potential gain.

I wonder what Merkel is thinking?
