No, it’s not coddling. It’s just plain stupid some of the times kids have to get up, and how early classes start now. Our school bus picked us up at about five til eight, and classes started around 8:30. That seemed right. More in line with the real world (many business starting times) and certainly easier on families.
So should we adjust work schedules to accommodate the sleeping requirements of the poor little darlings, too? After all they would be just too sleepy to get up at 6 a.m. to be at work at 7.
