Tim Tebow’s Chivalrous Surprise Allows Teen to Forget About Her Illness and Feel Like a Princess
ijreview ^ | August 26, 2014 | Caroline Schaeffer

Haley, a young lady who was diagnosed with Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome at age 15, is a huge Tim Tebow fan. She’s wanted to meet the football star for a very long time.

So Tebow’s W15H program made it happen, and in the process, treated Haley like a princess.

The program is part of the Tim Tebow Foundation’s outreach initiative, which grants children with life-threatening illnesses the chance to meet Tebow, all the while fulfilling any desire they might have.

From the W15H website:

Each year, the Tim Tebow Foundation creates more than 20 official W15H experiences by providing deserving children with travel, accommodations, daily activities, meals, gifts and one-on-one time with Tim.

W15H has granted over 40 official W15H experiences at many venues including NFL Games, Award Shows, Disney World and more. Haley’s visit to Scottsdale, Arizona, included an airplane tour of the Grand Canyon, pampering in a presidential suite, and the chance to throw out the first pitch at a Diamondbacks game.

Tebow was often by her side, prayed with her and her family, and spent quality time with them. His selfless act of kindness helped Haley forget about her illness, if only for a moment, and focus on being a kid and enjoying herself.

Isn’t this just the kind of role model America needs?

He is indeed being blackballed by the Christian haters of the NFL owners.

Yeah, those guys don't care about winning.

Didn’t Tim get a gig as a color commentator with ESPN, covering SEC games this fall? I thought I’d heard that several months ago.

I liked him a lot when he was in Denver, but he ain’t Peyton Manning.

I like him better now as a messenger of God......but he ain't Jesus.

Manning never beat the Gators
Tebow never lost to Tennessee
Tebow has a Heisman and two NC rings
Peyton doesnt have college hardware, but has SuperBowl rings

Yup by that piece of garbage Elway. If he would have kept Tebow and let him learn from Manning, the Bronco franchise would have been dominant for a decade. Now once Manning retires or gets injured, we got nada.....

Elway keeps floating running for office as a republican. It would be the first time in my life I voted democrat just to vote against him.

I think that that is the new NFL mantra...If you cannot win, look good...

Tebow was plain and simply black-balled.

Just like all the other players who couldn't perform at the NFL level.

Tebow has a winning NFL record and a big playoff win over a 12-4 team, where he threw the winning TD in overtime.

What about it? So, a player who won the Heisman, two national collegiate championships and has a winning record as an NFL starting quarterback can’t play quarterback?

Good thing it has nothing to do with his religious beliefs?

See my post #36. On top of his accomplishments, fans like to see him play. CBS rescheduled one of his games so it would have a national audience.

You might look for the ESPN Science guy who tested Tim after he worked hard for a year on QB fundamentals. He listed Tebow as one of the top 6 NFL QBs based on the accuracy, speed, technique etc...

And then he went to the Patriots, coached by one of the best judges of talent in the NFL, and he got cut before the season starts. Accuracy, speed, and technique don't count for squat unless you can put them all together in a game situation. Tebow couldn't.

Really, I watched the game right here in Denver. I also saw his passing stats. He was a great college QB but that doesn’t always translate in the pros. Tebow isn’t the first. He was unbeatable in the character department, a great guy. This story proves that hasn’t changed and that’s a good thing.
