This is not an article, but rather a summary of what is now showing on the main page of Electoral-Vote.com, an election poll tracking site.
I've been visiting electoral-vote.com for years, and have found that the closer we get to an election, the more accurate their map gets. Recently, and for a long time, they have had Democrats poised to keep control of the Senate, 55 to 45.
However, in recent days it has shifted clearly toward the Republicans. Electoral-Vote.com is now showing the Republicans likely taking control of the Senate. Dems 48, GOP 51, Ties 1
Electoral-Vote.com makes its predictions based exclusively on the aggregate results of major polls. The statistics and predictions are updated daily.

Isn’t their a Libertarian running in KY? That could be his political end...
Not quite sure. Libertarian candidates like most third party candidates are usually gadflies and attract few votes. This is certainly the case in CA. Most voters want their votes to count and know that it is usually a throw away vote to vote third party.
KY is historically a Democrat state which has trended strongly GOP in recent years. Also incumbents usually have the advantage. Further, the party out of power usually win in midterms elections. This is especially true in the sixth year of an incumbent administration.
All factors favoring McConnell’s re-election.
When you decide to “fix” something, you should limit your fix to something in the original article. Please don’t edit my comments. You may post them in your response and point out where you disagree. In this case, you just appear to be throwing stones at Republicans.
I think that I’ll throw stones at the Democrats. Defeating them is the top priority. Electing conservative Republicans is the next priority, so that we can replace the current left leaning leadership. Usually, we can do both at the same time.
Thanks for the concern on how I will be spending my time that Tuesday in November

I’m not concerned that you will be wasting your time. That’s your business.
Childers (D) 24%
Cochran (R) 40%
A 41 year incumbent at 40%, quite telling.
Don’t bet on it. There are a lot of PO’ed people out there.
Yep, but they’re more PO’d at the Rats and Obama. That’s why the Rats are distancing themselves from Obama.
A 41 year incumbent at 40%, quite telling.
It sure is.
It is not my party anymore, they have left me.
Does that mean that you are now a Democrat? There are only three choices in our system: Democrat, Republican, and checked out of the net.
Checked out of the net.
I vote for conservative candidates, only.
You’ve made that quite clear. How you and the others you behave similarly expect that attitude to translate into political power is beyond me. Politicians could care less about those who do not vote, people in the military learned that long ago.
I’m in Colo. so I can’t vote there. Good info.
....because voting straight Republican has been so effective. LOL! The Establishment Republicans have drifted so far left, they are at the level of Democrats in the 1950's and 1960's.
Political power, blah blah blah. I'm voting my conscience. I'm voting conservative. If people think like me, my side wins.
Shiiiid, dawg, at this point in America's history, I don't think even a straight set of wins by conservatives for a decade will help pull us out of the crash-trajectory. The economy won't handle all the entitlements out there. It just isn't sustainable.
Oh, by 'checked out of the net', I mean I still vote. I vote conservative. Period.
They are all voting for more free stuff and you are sitting in a corner pouting. It’s a very novel political theory, wonder why it hasn’t been tried before? I’m sure that they are all quite happy for you to continue with your plan.
Yeah, because YOUR plan is so stellar. LOL! "Let's nominate a guy who penned the Obamacare Prototype to dismantle Obamacare!" LOL... you keep voting Democrat Light, I'll do the mans work and vote Conservative.
(How that translates to 'sitting in a corner pouting' defies rationality, but so far you have not exhibited that trait)
I think liberals though were hoping Ginsburg would retire now while the Dems still have total control. If Ginsburg retires in 2015 and the Republicans hold the Senate they could force the court to remain at 8 members. It has happened before (1968-69 era).
