So wheres the wave? This is President Obamas sixth-year-itch election. The map of states with contested Senate seats could hardly be better from the Republicans vantage point. And the breaks this yearstrong candidates, avoidance of damaging gaffes, issues such as Obamacare and immigration that stir the party basehave mainly gone the GOPs way, very unlike 2012

I don't think the Reps will gain control of the Senate. The GOP Congressional leadership is terrible. And let's see what happens when Obama legalizes 6 million illegals next week. The GOPe will make a weak objection about process rather than the legalization itself, which many of them favor. It will be the same feckless reaction they gave to Obama's backdoor amnesty to the Dreamers. So far, 560,000 Dreamers have been legalized.
Take out the RINO trash. By hook or by crook.
There's an idea.
It won’t be either a wave or a wipeout. It’ll be a gentle ripple.
GOP will net +4 in the Senate and hold the House.
Ha...I am tying those 3 items back to TAXES!
Thad Cocran
a pyric primary.
As one of the Senatorial "Sainted Ones," Warner will be in the Senate as long as he chooses, or until he's carted out of there horizontally.
Lots of people are growing tired of the two stale parties and see little difference between them. They both favor big government, are destroying the middle class, and are driving us deeper into debt. To be sure, national polls clearly show that most people think the country is heading in the wrong direction.
There are a number of festering problems out there that could be game changers in my opinion. A severe economic downturn that shakes Americans’ financial foundations and confidence in our political institutions might just be one of them. When seismic events such as that occur, people suddenly become receptive to new ideas.
Given the sad state of the country today, I would say that the two party, status quo system needs a fresh look.
We have Ed Gillespie taking on Mark Warner. There really is not a dime’s worth of difference between them. Gillespie refuses to go after Warner on the Gang of 8 bill. Why? Because Gillespie favors amnesty and increased immigration and guest workers. He could give a crap about the American worker.
But as long as there are no candidates talking about them you (we) might as well be howling at the moon.
It wont be either a wave or a wipeout. Itll be a gentle ripple.

And then it will turn into a stagnant, drainage pond that is its normal state. ;)
No mention from Gillespie on Warner signing the Gang of 8 bill that will destroy the American worker.
Yep... a stagnant, fetid mess.
I think that might work on a younger Sen. that is hoping for a long career. A guy like McConnell who is already 72 will revert to his default setting once elected. The best thing is for the old guard to know they won't get our votes.
How much of the GOP is clueless and how much of it is made up of collaborators who would rather support the Democrats than see Conservatives win?
GOP “themes”?
Amnesty, CommieCore, Settling with 0CommieCare.....just to name a few.
It doesn't matter about overall history, or the few judges we've gotten that are solid. The vote of our lifetimes was obamacare.
We are either a free people who's govt is subject to us, or we are serfs that are property of the state. Roberts decided we are the latter.
Maybe I'm just not hearing it out here on the west coast.
What did McConnell do afterwards. He told the media that if the Pubs win the majority they would reinstate the rule.
Did McConnell shut down the Senate with procedural delays and arcane parliamentary tactics? No! He went on like nothing had changed.
Maybe they can get the moderates to pick up the slack making phone calls, walking precincts and all that. Don’t ask me how. I don’t recall actually ever meeting a moderate doing any of that stuff.
