Wow...she will be dead in a year...brave women..
Maybe she thinks if she is controversial enough in life her death will be heard - unlike the numbers of women who quietly die in “honor killings”, “honor suicides”, by judicial stoning, by extra-judicial stoning, etc all over the world every day - while the rest of the world tsk-tsks but does nothing more to stop it.
In most instances, nothing changes until somebody’s life is lost and it’s visible enough to stir up an awakening. Maybe that’s her desperate strategy.
Tacky? Disgusting? Pointless? Ineffective?
We can all have an opinion about the wisdom of her actions, but it seems obvious that she is brave and that she cares deeply about the mistreatment of women by Islam.
As long as she’s making the issue visible, though, it would be a terrible waste to make it all about her “stupidity” (etc) rather than about the evils of Islam which she is fighting. If she’s going to die for what she did, at least we can try to let her death help other women who otherwise would have died in a burqa whose only crime was being a living woman that some man wanted dead.
