Californians should not be exposed to that awful racist flag with the Bear on it—made by racist white miners in 1847. It was an anti-Mexican Flag—the words on it are in ENGLISH! Every Latino should be sickened by the sight of that flag and all it represents—the loss of land, culture, language, etc...

That was because President Lincoln had no Constitutional authority to end slaver in the Union States.
The Stars and Bars resembles the Betsy Ross flag rather than the Confederate battle flag. Most people don’t know what it is when they see it.

Leftism is about political power and cultural coercion, logic plays a role only when they think it might advance their cause. Otherwise they couldn’t care less if they make no sense.

IIRC a California school banned kids from wearing American flag tee shirts on May 5th because it might anger Chicano students. But the school had no problem with kids wearing Mexican flag tee shirts.
Removed by a turncoat Republican governor as I recall. He said he supported the flag when he was running for office but then revealed his politically correct stripes once he was safely in office.
I’m afraid you’re right. A deeply red state like South Carolina has its share of `outreach Republicans’.
But the gun makers are abandoning blue states where they’re no longer welcome & re-establishing here.
Wife & I just qualified for our CWP. I called the elderly grandmother whose farm we practice at & she said “Oops! Got to get mine renewed!”
