When I listened to Foley’s last statement, it creeped me out because he sounded mad at AMerica and being an American.
The guy was a journalist, doing his job. They are holding about 20 Americans, most of them not dumb do-gooders but people who were doing a job in the ME.
The only way to make them stop kidnapping Americans is to make it so hard on them that they wouldn’t even dream of it. Blow them away. Seize every single one of them we find in Europe or even in the ME and kill them. Bomb the socks off anything or anyone that supports them.
Sorry, but that’s the only way to stop kidnappings. And if they use the hostages as human shields...well, they were going to kill them anyway. I’d rather die knowing that my death was taking along a number of jihadis and stopping the terror than knowing it was going to be shown on TV to boost their recruiting efforts.
Those weren’t his words, but those of his captors.
Did you hear him??
The American people are looking for a few good leaders, and from this picture, I think they have found her.
LeMay, sounded repudiated by the American people when he ran for VP in 1968
Lenny Bruce had a routine about a man who is brought to a room where he proclaims that he would never betray his country. Then he says (I'm paraphrasing from memory), "What are they doing to that guy over there? Why are they putting that funnel in his ass? What are they doing with that molten lead? They're pouring it in the funnel? The funnel that's in his ass? They're pouring hot lead in his ass? They're giving him a hot lead enema? Okay, I'll tell you anything. I'll tell you about my mother. I'll make up secrets."
I heard a variation where Bruce says that when faced with the hot lead enema, he would make a shoeshine rag out of the American flag.
If that quote is accurate, Obama is an idiot for comparing a “jayvee team”, and later “them” both plural nouns to a singular “Kobe Bryant”. He is a “graduate” of two ivy league schools. HUH? Well maybe the _resident thinks Bryant could beat the “jayvee” team by himself?
I know this family, but even if I didn’t, my position, especially in the 48 hours after something like this, is to give them a pass and not criticize whatever it is that they say.
Perdicaris alive or Raisuli dead.
Wallace/LeMay. The liberal press and the RINOs destroyed the careers of both men. What did we get in return. A very moderate republican that carried on LBJ’s great society programs and although a fine commander-in-chief got bogged down in the Watergate fiasco and had to resign, which directly led to the dunce Jimmy Carter being elected.
Depending on .Gov is futile.
Mr. Foley knew what he was getting into by working in the AO. The US does not usually negotiate with terrorist. Other countries tend to pay ransoms ans such, we have chosen not to do that sort of thing as a whole.
So that excuses what happened to him? Do you feel the same way about our voluntary military or police or firemen? They know what they are getting into as well.
Nobody should expect anything different.
No, the real lesson of Benghazi is that this administration will not protect Americans abroad; not even a US ambassador.

>>James Wright Foleys brutal public murder should serve as a cautionary tale to all progressive infidels who decry others as Islamophobes.
According to Daniel Greenfield, writing for Front Page Magazine, Foley came to Syria to support the Sunni Islamist rebels against the Syrian government.
He cheered on the Sunni Muslim terrorists fighting to ethnically cleanse the Christians of Aleppo. In the conflict between Israel and Hamas, his tweets and retweets were chock full of pro-terrorist propaganda. <<
I spent 8 years in the USN, including a year in Vietnam. Just because someone volunteered to serve in a dangerous occupation doesn’t diminish their death or sacrifice. I have heard the Left dismiss the deaths of US military personnel with sentiments similar to the ones expressed by you. I find it reprehensible.
Those are the rules when you go into the jungle. And above all else, .gov does not care about you nor should you ever depend on it coming to save you.
Americans know better; our rustic individualism is part of our core.
Billions of dollars have been spent on security for our diplomatic facilities abroad. But it all depends on the ability of the host government to come to your aid when under duress. If you cannot have such an assurance, you shouldn't be there period. That is the best defense.
Sounds GREAT to me.
