Sure, I knew by signing up with the Army that I could be killed. That is the nature of it.

I spent 8 years in the USN, including a year in Vietnam. Just because someone volunteered to serve in a dangerous occupation doesn’t diminish their death or sacrifice. I have heard the Left dismiss the deaths of US military personnel with sentiments similar to the ones expressed by you. I find it reprehensible.
