Buried under the numerous scandals that have plagued the administration in the years since, at least one federal judge still wants to get to the bottom of a federal gun-walking program that led to the death of Border Patrol Agent Brian Terry in 2010.
As CBS News reported, the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives initiated an operation known as ‘Fast and Furious’ in 2009, allowing criminals to take possession of more than 2,000 dangerous weapons without proper governmental oversight or tracking. The following year, illegal immigrants carrying multiple weapons involved in the program fatally shot Terry near the Mexico border.

A Republican successor to Obama (not a slam dunk) will do nothing to counter all the illegal EOs of Obama (and Clinton and Carter for that matter). AFAIK Bush countermanded a total of 0 illegal Clinton EOs. See anyone mining coal in Utah? Clinton sealed off the 2nd largest deposits of CLEAN coal in the world with a stroke of a pen, for a $1/2 million campaign contribution from a foreign businessman. Bush did jack about that. ANWR is a result of executive action (mostly Carter’s). Obama and the Dems are well of aware that he can write illegal EOs till the cows come home and they will still be in force years after he leaves office. Republicans roll back nothing beyond a few token things for show.
