I want to make sure after yesterday’s post that everyone knows it’s still in dispute whether Wilson’s eye socket was actually fractured in his altercation with Michael Brown.
What’s apparently not in dispute is that Wilson somehow emerged from the incident with part of his face swollen.
Reports that Ofc Darren Wilson had a bruised or fractured eye socket are false. #ferguson A source close to the investigation tells CNN

Wilson was taken to the hospital after the shooting. He had xrays which came back negative. He was treated for a swollen face. #ferguson

The extent of the injury matters insofar as the worse it is, the stronger Wilson’s defense will be that he reasonably feared serious injury from Brown when he allegedly charged at him. But it probably doesn’t matter that much: Obviously, the complexion of a case in which an unarmed man is shot dead changes if the defendant was attacked just moments before, especially if that attack involved going for the defendant’s gun. If the victim’s intent to harm is proved, establishing that Wilson’s fear of Brown was reasonable, then he’s one-third of the way to self-defense. He’d also have to show that Brown was advancing on him, a claim the prosecution will try to disprove, and further that Brown was so dangerous that Wilson was justified in using lethal force in bringing him down. Not an easy task given that Brown had no weapon of his own, but then that’s why the injury is important.

Mosquito Bite ?
It wouldn’t matter if he had a fractured skull. 6 shots into an “unarmed teen who had his hands up in the universal sign of surrender” is all the riotous mobs have heard and it is what is driving them to wear out their stolen Air Jordans marching down the streets.
One thing didn’t make sense. How could you shoot someone six times after they damaged your eye socket? How far was Brown shot from?
There is a thread on this already.
Liberal Tactic: Discredit ALL the facts by clinging to a tiny piece of discontinuity...
so... CNN is now reporting that Brown did indeed attack the officer.
That’s what I’m hearing.
So, he had a spontaneous swollen face?
C.N.N.
There is no hope for any one who believes anything that comes from CNN. Unfortunately for the United States, that encompasses most of America.
all part of the Alinsky method to discredit your opponent.
The officer’s injuries are what they are, but the fact remains that while CNN didn’t rush to the presses with news about the officer’s injuries (which might have had a dampening effect on the riots), CNN sure as hell rushes to report that those injuries they were reluctant to report in the first place aren’t so bad.
Oh, well the cop’s a racist then, case closed
Yeah, he went home and thrust his head into a hornet’s nest just to cover up.

I would imagine only one eye was hurt/ in pain...
so... CNN is now reporting that Brown did indeed attack the officer.
their ratings must be dropping ,people drifting away to watch paint dry
The MSM is now paying more attention to the retraction of the story that Wilson’s eye socket was broke than they did to yesterday’s news that his eye socket was broken.
How could you shoot someone six times after they damaged your eye socket?
Adrenaline + emergency backup eye (that’s one reason GOD gave us two)
