A young girl, who claims she was standing up for her religious beliefs in the classroom, was suspended after breaking a class rule of saying bless you after a classmate sneezed.
When Dyer County High School senior Kendra Turner said bless you to her classmate, she says her teacher told her that was for church
Students sent WMC Action News 5′s Michael Clark a photo of the teachers white board that lists bless you and other expressions that are banned as part of class rules.

I wonder if gesundheit was verboten as well.
يرحمك الله
No, logic tells me the student is lying or at the very least embellishing a very great deal.
I guess “Bless your heart” is right out then.
“I bet the teacher and everyone involved are feeling pretty embarrassed and stupid right now. Not including, of course, the fact that they have to scorn of a large percentage of the American population.”
You would think, but the liberal teachers I know would be proud. They don’t have the intelligence to know when to be embarrassed.
Well then lets mock and ridicule them even more.
At least we’d have fun ;)

you are right as always :-(
The teacher has a whole list of banned worlds, Including Stupid, Dumb, Boring, Stuff, Hey You, Hangup, I don't Know and so forth.
Teacher does not require silence in her class, she requires you to eschew honesty.
Because I am pretty sure that "Stupid, Dumb, Boring," describes this teacher to a T
I saw the poster on another news site. There was nothing to show that the list was from that class (which was a keyboarding class) or that it was a list of banned words. The supposed banned “bless you” appeared under the category of “Other Peer Expressions” this strongly indicates that words were part of an in class exercise or assignment.
There have been enough people who have verified that the teacher requires silence during class time. I have no doubt the student created a disturbance then showed her butt (that’s an expression) and got called on it. She lied and I have trouble understanding how any sensible, intelligent adult cannot see this.
Did you miss the part where there is nothing that shows the poster is a banned word list or is even in that classroom? Why would a keyboarding class have such a list? Why would some of the “banned words” be categorized under “Other peer exressions”?
Use some logic.
I know that for some people the teacher is always right but it is clear that with other students coming forward with the same story that the girl is telling the truth.
Other students have contradicted Turner and supported the teacher. I go by the evidence, which is on the teacher’s side.
I figured it out. OMG, good luck with it.
I apologize. I didn’t mean the last part of what I said, at least not the way I said it.

Rather than being a fractured form of "Got zu heiht" = "God to ???",
"gesundheit" = "gesund" (healthy) + "heit" = "health" or "the state of being healthy".
