Stop the threat or neutralize. Many times officers began CPR after shooting individual.

VERY BAD PRACTICE....too many infectious diseases for cops to give CPR. Secure the suspect, call for backup, THEN call EMT is proper procedure. I teach my students to NEVER touch the body if it is a good shoot.....

Now if the guy was a real jerk, you COULD give CPR real quick in order to get all the blood out of his body before EMT arrives....but then again, there is the issue with infectious diseases in the blood to begin with.

ANYWAYS....like Rule number 4: NEVER get out of the boat (in this case...never get in contact with someone elses blood)!

Stop the threat or neutralize.

...in other words, shoot to wound or kill...unless you think the sound of the shot will deter the perp...

Many times officers began CPR after shooting individual.

...which of course wouldn’t be necessary if he hadn’t shot to at least wound...

...I know we’re dealing with semantics here...and I don’t doubt your knowledge on the matter, but your word choice was, shall we say, confusing...
