To all who commented on my “troubling” post:
All of the scenarios you describe are possible. However, using Occam’s Razor, the simplest explanation for a shot to the TOP of the head is that the victim’s head was below the plane of the shooter’s weapon. And the most plausible reason for that is that the victim was lying or kneeling while the shooter was standing.
As I was careful to point out, that is not in itself inculpatory; there may be a legitimate explanation that leaves the shooter free and clear. But you can bet the press and the prosecutors (if it comes to that) will have a field day with it. It reeks of an execution, or at least that will be the theme. Heck, it already IS.
If the cop was right above a lying or kneeling person, how would he even be able to get those shots to the arms - much less even WANT to get the shots to the arms?
Using Occam’s Razor, the thug was shot, hit multiple times, stumbles and falls. Officer shooting to stop the threat, pulling trigger rapidly. Top of head shot was last shot fired.
Using Occam’s Razor, simply makes the most sense.
