Indeed, just so... MG50DFX.
Plenty of kick for what I use it for. Got some effects pedals
and a harmony machine that I used in the past, but the Marshall
doesn't need any of that mess.
Obligatory blurry pic:
Ill stick with my American Strat and my two Ibanez RG550s (one black with maple neck, the other white with rosewood neck).
I had a cheap Squier Strat back in the day.. it was good to learn on but nowhere near as nice as a real Strat.
Also had an Ibanez bass.. lightweight but killer action.
The lack of density hindered sustain, though...
RE MG50DFX:
Marshall makes some nice amps. Had an OLD 70s vintage Marshall head that burned up years ago.
Back in the early 80s I got my American Stratocaster. It’s from 1982. Well made, rock solid. Also had a 1977 American Strat with no tremolo cutout. Sounded “thicker” than a tremolo equipped Strat. (sold it... stupid move!)
The Ibanez guitars are good, built well. Used them a lot when I was playing in bands.
I also have an Ibanez bass that I don’t play too much anymore.
RE Pedals: I only use a Dunlop Crybaby wahwah anymore. That’s my only pedal.
