FERGUSON, Mo. Unrest returned to the streets of this St. Louis suburb early Saturday as hundreds of demonstrators, angered by the shooting death of an unarmed African-American teenager by a police officer, engaged in a standoff with the police that was punctuated by threats and a new round of denunciations of law enforcement practices.
The confrontation, the first serious one since the Missouri State Highway Patrol on Thursday assumed responsibility for security operations here, ended at about 4 a.m. when the authorities, prompted by the gradual dispersal of demonstrators, pulled back to their nearby command post. The Associated Press reported that one law enforcement official had been injured overnight.
The unrest, coming after a day of relative calm, resumed after the Ferguson police on Friday released the name of the officer who shot 18-year-old Michael Brown as well as surveillance videotape that appeared to show Mr. Brown stealing a box of cigarillos in a convenience store. His family and many protesters complained that the police were trying to divert attention from the central question: why an unarmed young man was shot dead....

when they release a pix of the officer, it should also be a junior high school picture.
The Just Us dept. is mad because it shows the character and mindset of their “angel” doesn’t match up with what the mom/lawyer and community activists said.
Of course the DOJ under Eric ‘My People’ Holder wanted the video suppressed. Of course the black racist riot agitators are angry that it was released.
Anything that threatens the Victimization narrative must be suppressed (i.e. evidence of criminality, violence, racism, anti-social behavior from the alleged victim showing that the “victim had victims of his own”).
Anything that strengthens the Victimization narrative must be promoted (i.e., evidence or claims that the alleged victim was a good, kind, gentle, wholesome person who was a “hapless victim of evil white men”).
We saw this Liberal Propaganda scenario played out in the MSM during the Tawana Brawley, Rodney King, Trayvon Martin stories. Transparency has NO place, when an agenda is IN place.
So it was federal interference and race baiting that was behind the local cops mishandling of the situation. Had the tape been released earlier, most blacks would had rejected its importance to what they saw as a later murder but it would have taken the wind out of their sails. IMHO
Those are my suspicions. Ferguson got played by the FBI.
Holder and obamma want to supercede all other law, its the plan, black, vs white, muslum terrorist with russian commandos in the us ready to strike, we have never been so weak...som ething is coming, lets hope Jesus comes first.

Give him a break. He has such a hard job covering for yet another of obama’s sons.
Holder, and Obama wanted this so much. The media put out their little story to blame the cop and use those who have a hatred of cops to get the votes out for the election as they have nothing to run on.
Alas the facts are coming out just like Zimmermann, not that the cop haters and race baiters will believe the facts.
agreed.
How he is still there with his racist agenda is beyond me.
why I doj making this statement? it adds nothing but fuel to the fire....
You answered your own question, looks like to me.
From what I read earlier here, the store owner did not report the robbery and did not want the video released. He was afraid of reprisals and that the police would not protect him. The police took the video and released it against his will.
An odd twist to the story if true.
See #73.
One more thing. Apparently it was a customer who reported the theft.
It’s not like they get driven every day.
Mind you I’m not in favor of the proliferation of these things.
