The police have more responsibility when dealing with fleeing violent felons and deal with them more often than non-police. Most states have specific laws that apply to police officers in those situations. I think you should learn the law and history behind it before you whine and bitch about it on FR.

I know what the law says concerning citizens using deadly force. I have a CCL.

I'm pointing out the fact that if the same circumstances happened to me in my house - and I shot the perp on my front lawn while he was unarmed and not in my house or posing an immediate threat to me or mine - that I would be arrested and charged with manslaughter at minimum or murder - depending on the ambitions of the state prosecutor.
