Ferguson police released a report today detailing a robbery before the fatal shooting last week of 18 year-old Michael Brown. Chief of police Jackson held a press conference early Friday morning.

Here is a copy of the report on the Ferguson convenience story robbery.

Michael Brown was 6′ 4″ and 292 pounds.

The victim looks to be 5’ 5 or so and abou 120 lbs. I bet he thought it was light out as compared to a 6’4” 292 lb black man. Dorian Johnson was at both scenes; the store robbery (not “theft” as the black commenter made; big difference) and where the shooting occurred. I’m glad the truth came out before they made him another martyr like Trayvon “Drank” Martin

Black shooter, black shootee. Takes a good bit of wind out of the sails of white men gunning down black men without reason.

However, it should be noted that the apparent earlier strong-arm robbery and assault at the convenience store have nothing at all to do with whether this was a justified shoot or not.

I’ll be very curious to see whether the eternally indignant will claim the “real shooter” must have been white, because shut up. My understanding from previous reports is that there were only a couple of black cops on the force of this department.
