Insufficient IRS explanations cause Judge to order sworn answers from IRS about Lois Lerners hard drive and emails.
Judicial Watch has sued over missing IRS emails in the federal district court in D.C., pursuant to its FOIA request for such documents.
The IRS was ordered to provide explanations as to missing emails, particularly Lois Lerner.
The IRS provided explanations, but those were not good enough for the Judge, who launched his own inquiry into the matter, as Judicial Watch explained in a statement posted on its website:
Judicial Watch President Tom Fitton made the following statement in response to todays order from Judge Emmet G. Sullivan regarding the recently lost emails of Lois Lerner and other IRS officials, which were the subject of longstanding Judicial Watch Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) requests and lawsuit (Judicial Watch v. IRS (No. 1:13-cv-1559)):
In an extraordinary step, U. S. District Court Judge Emmett Sullivan has launched an independent inquiry into the issue of the missing emails associated with former IRS official Lois Lerner.
Previously, Judge Sullivan ordered the IRS to produce sworn declarations about the IRS email issue by August 11. Todays order confirms Judicial Watchs read of this weeks IRS filings that treated as a joke Judge Sullivans order.
Judge Sullivan, in his earlier ruling, appointed Magistrate Judge John M. Facciola to manage and assist in discussions between Judicial Watch and the IRS about how to obtain any missing records from other sources. Magistrate Facciola is an expert in e-discovery, and authorized Judicial Watch to submit a request for limited discovery into the missing IRS records after September 10.

Widespread in other departments as well (HHS, EPA). RICO charges should be brought against the thug Obama administration.

I dont think thats right. I dont think Holder can stop this Judges inquiry at all. The show is actually on the road.He can put people in jail for not complying with the court's orders. Start at the bottom and work up. Those at the top will not talk. Those below them will not go to jail for them.

Democrat majority Senate will not go along with impeachment
of Holder or Obama or any prominent democrat until the Sun
stops rising in the east.

No, we do not. We are currently living in the same phase as China, Russia, Cuba, Vietnam and others went through on the
way down towards socialism. Soak the rich, spread the
wealth, a government check in every mail box..what’s not to
like for the vast majority of unthinking masses?
They all learned after 40-50 years of trickle up poverty
that socialism does not work. Did you know China currently
has 1.2 Million millionaires while they had almost none 25
years ago? Did you know Russia has a flat tax?
By the year 2060 we will wake up and demand change.
Until then, democrats are in driver’s seat.

Wait a minute, the House did impeach Clinton.
Then the voters punished republicans in the ensuing election.
Those memories are still fresh.

Hi Jim,
I am not pushing anyone at this point in time. What do you think about Rick Perry or do you put him in the same category?
To: Irish Eyes
I have no deal breaking objections to Perry. In fact, if he does get serious about securing the border, he’d definitely be a formidable contender. No other governors seem to be serious enough to act on the issue.

I am glad to hear that because at this time I am giving Perry a second look. I live in Arizona. Brewer is no help and Arpaio’s hands are tied.
To: Nachum
Well, I think at this point, what is the judge going to do?
They’ll keep stonewalling and they will probably get away with it, because as long as we can’t get the emails back, the slap on the wrist they will get for sloppy record retention won’t matter.
What we need is an independent body to maintain computerized government records. They install the computers, they maintain the security and servers, and they maintain all the backups. That way, a department head won’t be able to order the destruction of evidence by their own subordinates, even if it is to their advantage.
To: Jacquerie
Of course, on a superficial level our liberty is direct related to elections.
On a more long-term aspect our liberty is tied to the 2nd Amendment and the willingness of citizens to protect the liberty demonstrated and offered to us by the Founding Fathers.
