My Name is Earl also did a show about living in a store.
Was a fictional store but from the interior you could tell it was Big Lots.

Really? I’m currently watching all episodes of “Earl” on Netflix. I’m still in Season 1. I’ll be looking for that show later....

Police said the unidentified teen made a hole in a wall of a drink aisle to take items without being noticed and used diapers to avoid having to use the restroom. A trail of garbage reportedly led employees to the teen.
Clever enough to make a hole; not clever enough to conceal it.
Wonder how long he could have extended the ruse had he simply been smart enough to pocket his trash and dispose of it inside towel waste when he used the public restroom normally.

Reminds me of a Far Side description of a mall where an entire community evolves. They develop their own language to communicate among them, involving store names (”Starbucks macys sears, starbucks starbucks victoria Secret!”)

Too bad he’s only 14. If I were the store manager, I’d offer him a job in security.
