In 1972 after the marriage and society destroying "Equal Rights Amendment" had been passed overwhelmingly through congress (354-24 in the House and 84-8 in the Senate) and already been rapidly ratified by 28 of the required 38 state legislatures, a largely unknown
Phyllis Schlafly led a movement which not only succeeded in stopping it, but caused four states to rescind their ratifications. Her movement was also able to get the Republican Party to remove its support for the ERA's passage and largely turn the public against it.
I think that a similar grass-roots effort could stop and turn back this most recent attack on marriage and society. I pray the God will provide a worthy leader for us to fight this good fight.
