People who live with bipolars learn to avoid them at their worst.
That is when we try to keep our child closest. We let her cope in her room AFTER we search it for contraband. We take turns checking in every ten minutes. The manic episode usually subsides in an hour or so. If not, it's back to the hospital for another week's stay.
