wow I thought it was just me. Glad to know I am not alone. :-)
The focus of a thread like this should be on the one who just passed and not hijacked by some with their agendas. It is not the time or place. So I agree with you.
I will say this about Robin Williams - I think his talent bordered on genius as I have seen only a few people even capable of doing what he does. A guy called into Mark Levin and spoke of running into Robin and getting 10 minutes or so of improv right on the spot. Here he was a total stranger and he got a private performance on the street
You got that right. There will never be another Carson, or another Robin Williams. Both outstanding comedic geniuses. The world is a darker place.
Winters was a painter.
I guess you are a victim then.
I think you’re quoting that out of context my friend.
Look, I've seen kids not old enough to understand sin have severe mental issues. One was about 12 with the mind of about 8. One minute he could out cuss any seasoned sailor the next he could preach a sermon. It could happen that fast. Someone very dear to my heart has lived with clinical depression since her early 20's and yes at one point she about took her life. That was before I met her 30 years ago and about 10 years prior to that.
As a kid she was abused in all manners. As an adult she was beaten, kicked, abandoned, and then as if that wasn't enough when her life finally turned around she then lost most of the use of her arms and all the use of legs for life. She's been in treatment for the depression and PTSD for about 12 years. During that time one doctor prescribed medication where she went psychotic. It was an adverse reaction to meds doctors pass out like candy.
You know what really Irks me no end? It's the self righteous persons who come up to her in their arrogance and ignorance and tell her "Oh it's due to your lack of faith you remain a quadriplegic" Yes a Charismatic church member I knew at work told her that. It took me several years to undo his damage. A few months later he was laying a nurse. Oh BTW he was married with kids. He knew what he was doing. A decade later his preacher was caught taking several hundred thousand in church funds.
We all will sin till we leave this earth. If we were perfect and could go and sin no more we wouldn't need a savior. You also forget the passage where Christ was asked who's sin caused this. Remember His reply?
I know a lot about life the good and the bad. I've dealt with a sibling who has serious mental health issues from teens on. The sibling chain smoked and the meds into a Stroke. Sibling is alive but Dementia is taking the brain fast.
I am also technically diagnosed with mental health issues for over 20 years now. PTSD which I thankfully got the right help for and General Anxiety Disorder due to a highly damaged sensory processing system that sets off seizure activity and what some call Panic Attacks. No known cure because it is in my Inner Ear and Cerebellar portion of the brain and how they interact communication wise.
I went to grade school with kids who had everything from Schizophrenia to blindness, deafness, & quadriplegia. I picked up something along the way from it. Compassion and some understanding.
Proverbs 26:4 or Proverbs 26:5. Take your pick.
Your tagline and your trolling don’t make much sense for somebody who’s been here since Feb 28, 1998. How and when did you acquire the username and password?
being bi-polar is tortuous at times. Learn about it and have some empathy. Try going days without sleep then not being able to get out of bed for days.
There is a lower number of suicides amongst Catholics, which I attribute to the fear of hell since suicide is a sin. So there would be a percentage of people who would continue to fight the chemical reaction in their brains. Getting help is possible, too, but with some, getting out the door is difficult. Plus there is the possibility of multiple issues in addition to depression.
Like having an ache in your lower back. Why? How many things can cause that?
I wish that he would have learnd more from one of his movies:

“Robin Williams was not in peace, nor will he ever be.”

How the hell do you know???
.
I echo the thoughts of many here who say that they hope he found the Lord before he checked out.
He will be missed.
Pot meet kettle.
Sorry, on my cell, now, but type in “Robin Williams, KoKo”. It will lead you to the vid.
I actually liked his acting better than his stand up.
He had gifts.
And Richard Cory, one calm summer night,
Went home and put a bullet through his head.

Very apt. Haven’t thought of that poem in years. So true.
“The dog that yelps...”
So, you’re also into hitting dogs?! Freak.
Then the ones who don't comprehend are the quickest to judge. Then they wonder why people don't get help? I'll say it right now so those who need help will seek it out. I spent five years in therapy. The Therapist was a Godsend. Without him I could not have put some real bad events where they needed to be. My wife has been in treatment with a Therapist at least 12 years and it does make a difference for a lot of people. GOD is in the equation also very much. She would likely be dead if He had not in His own way gave me a clinical name to give the doctors when my wife went psychotic and almost died. Not many have heard of Serotonin Syndrome :>}
Thanks :>} Yea I best knock it off. My bad.
