I hadn’t heard that or any report of a robbery until the LEO’s announcement of the cop’s name, but then I haven’t been paying that close attention to it all. Been busy with other things. Now I hear that the punk is on video in the robbery. Pieces are starting to come together.
I know a lot of people did not hear it—or heard references to licorice, and didn’t realize what they were hearing.
I read a few STL chat boards, their local news Facebook pages, etc, and also noticed in at least one news report, they explained why the rioting crowd started at QT. At that time, QT was not called out by name, but-the reporter said “a local convenience store” was “allegedly robbed” before the incident with Brown, and then QT was looted & burned, so it made sense then.
I also saw at least one photo of a looter inside QT, with a gun tucked in his gangster waistband, Night 1:looting.
I don’t blame the police for showing up in protective gear, at all.
Apparently Mr. Johnson (first witness and with Brown at the robbery) has admitted that Brown took the cigars.
“Johnson’s lawyer confirmed to MSNBC on Friday that Brown had taken the cigars from the store.”
