Not to worry – this will be spun as the fault of the "bad intelligence" excuse by Bush over 10 years ago which got us involved in Iraq in the first place ...

No it didn’t, and Bush never used it as an excuse. He simply said that he went by what he had, which was actually sound information for what it was...the Dems insisted that there had to be WMD in there for us to go in (even though Saddam and that whole cluster were busy supporting even more radical forces, and we were originally going in because of that) and Saddam definitely had WMD. Thus the information had to be undermined, corrupted and cast into doubt.

But Bush never blamed the CIA for giving him bad information; not everything was completely accurate (because it never is), but they actually had the general gist of it until the Dems got into insane things like Valerie Plame, etc.

If Obama wanted “intelligence” about this, all he had to do was read the newspapers. And if he had wanted a special report, I’m sure he could have gotten one, except that he never goes to NSC meetings or even his daily briefings.

So he’s blaming this on the intelligence services. Cute. I wish one of them would post his foreign birth certificate in retaliation.
