That’s very likely in MS, but not KS. I don’t think KS has had a Democrat senator in over 60 years.

this is why every election needs the “instant runoff”,
where you vote for 1st choice, 2nd choice, and perhaps 3rd choice.
If no candidate receives 50% + 1 vote of the 1st choice votes,
you add 1st and second choices.
That way, someone could have voted this way:
1st - whatever “minor candidate”
2nd - Wolf
3rd - Roberts
And you can see that if those 11% had voted this way, Roberts would have been defeated.
