Wednesday at his press conference at the US-Africa Leaders Summit Barack Obama spewed this nonsense about terrorism.
“Part of the lesson we’ve all learned about terrorism is it is possible in reaction to terrorism to actually accelerate the disease. If the response is one that alienates populations or particular ethnic groups or particular religions. And so the work we are doing including the security initiatives I announced today I think can make a big difference in that direction.
It’s not just a matter of us providing better equipment and better training, that’s a part of it. But part of it is also making sure that these security forces and these intelligence operations are coordinated and professional and they’re not alienating populations. The more we do that the more effective we can be. The last point I’ll make is good governance.
One of the best inoculators against terrorist infiltration is a society in which everyone feels as if they have a stake in the existing order and they feel their grievances can be resolved through political means rather than through violence.”
