The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention on Wednesday ramped up its response to the expanding Ebola outbreak, a move that frees up hundreds of employees and signals the agency sees the health emergency as a potentially long and serious one.
The CDCs level 1 activation is reserved for the most serious public health emergencies, and the agency said the move was appropriate considering the outbreaks potential to affect many lives. The CDC took a similar move in 2005 in the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina, and again in 2009 during the bird-flu threat.

Your remarks regarding bringing it here are spot on.
PS: Your blood pressure will thank you if you stop watching “The Five”. I stopped watching all Fox programs once I realized that they are in the tank for the GOPe, and I am glad I did.
A pandemic would not abide by political correctness and bypass D.C.

No problem. The elites, most likely, have been issued their emergency doses of whatever was given to the two volunteers who are now recovering.
The kids like to watch it. They are very misinformed on some issues, FOX.
And the guys on The Five refuse to do homework. Tantaros opines on things without knowing what she is talking about.
The do NO research.
When Jesse Waters comes on they freak because he actually reads up on the subjects they’ll be discussing.
+1
Excellent point! They are bringing in a strain of TB that is drug-resistant.
Interesting angle that I had not considered. The Soros Administration may be lining up another industry for his crony capitalism.
A bunch of overpaid blowhards, huh?
It’s crazy. They act informed and they have the opportunity and the responsibility to be, but they refuse to get up to speed on events
They should have liaisons. They must have a military expert on staff they can talk to
Oh well Perhaps fox wants it that way
Yeah, the US experimental anti-viral was only 42% effective in the US Army testing..
Since I can’t comment on what will happen with humans, it’s hard to say how the two US patients will fare.
The odds say that one of them will likely die from the disease, but we will see...
Oh well Perhaps fox wants it that way

The better to keep us in the dark, my dear....
Four of eight is 50%, which is about the fatality rate without trying anything.
stanne, Ebola is a virus. Are you just trolling me?
Oh ok microorganism.
What ever
It’s been fun.
Sorry, I misunderstood.
From the profit perspective, about 100% will probably pay whatever they own, or ever will own.
Neil cavities just had a doctor on to weigh in. He said its entirely possible to contain this here
That’s good enough for Neil and others here
If any one of them were told they had a disease and ‘it is entirely possible to contain it’ I don’t think they’d take that as a guarantee
Or that they themselves would go in and take care of people infected with such a disease, as the university hospital nursing and bio waste staff is doing, being told, ‘it is entirely possible to contain it
It was nice of these people to go over there and help but they did so as private citizens at their own risk
This country does what it can to help by studying the disease the virus itself, under secure conditions
The doctor says entirely possible as there is a possibility it can get out. Of course it’s possible. Hazmat suits are not used for nothing
And that hospital is as secure as its weakest member of the team
Interesting note here. I think you said something that made me think you are Catholic. Apologies if I am wrong.
16 AUG is the feast day of St. Rocco, patron saint of those afflicted by plague.
