Logic would've been to punish Saudi Arabia, since that's where the 911 maniacs were from. Instead Saudi is buying up ports in the US and we and they together created ISIS in the insane fight against Assad.
How long can a country exist, running on stupid?
Maintain a well fortified base there and any squirmishes that erupt then bomb that into complete oblivion and send em all to Allah. Repeat and rinse whenever necessary. No mixing Afghan troops with US men. Can’t trust the dirty muzzies.
Looking back, at least under the Soviets, Afghanistan would have modernized somewhat.
We can’t even do a good job of educating kids here, let alone some tribal war zone.
