I’m sorry, I must have missed the part of the constitution that allows the Federal government to control what people eat.
Agreed.
We can all discuss junk food and whether too many cupcakes are a good idea. But the key issue is— are school bake sales really an area which should be controlled by the federal government???
Liberals believe this because they passed that law. This sort of thing could be a potent issue in elections. Democrats are the party of fascist control over all areas of life. Republicans are a party of freedom and personal responsibility and limited government. GOP should pledge to repeal nonsense such as a law which dictates standards for school bake sales.
I guess you did miss it. It's there as plain as day -- right next to the part that allows the Federal government to run public schools.
Look at the upside: After scattering with tails between legs, the BLM Storm Trooper Unit now has a new mission. They can re-brand themselves as the BOM - Bureau of Obesity Management - and start massing around children selling doughnuts. With any luck, there may be resistance by the kids, and the troopers can try out their cool weapons.
It is time (indeed, past time) that the states tell the fed’s to stuff it!
The law. From 2010. https://www.govtrack.us/congress/bills/111/s3307/text
First time I realized the White House was controlling what we eat. Is that legal?
