A German Army General has been appointed to Chief of Staff of U.S. Army Europe. This is the first time a non-U.S. officer has held this position.

Yes, sir. We were escorting the German general to review US Army troops in South Carolina. We hit a big bump, the general got thrown out of the jeep and a big, ol’ gator jumped out of the lake and dragged him away. We managed to save his beret, but that’s about it.
