Bank of England and Scottish bank notes change the people on the notes. Besides the Queen, the Duke of Wellington, Newton, and Florence Nightingale have been on bank notes with Winston Churchill, Adam Smith and Jane Austen to appear in the near future. I remember one Scottish bank had a special edition with Jack Nicklaus on it. It does make the note more interesting to collect. US Banknotes are pretty boring. Before the notes became fixed the US had some nice banknotes with battleships, and another one with a big eagle. The opening up the possibility of changing the persons on the US bills is PC run amock. The blacks would demand MLK Jr, the Latinos Chazez, etc.

Here is a woman known to have a hot temper, fearless spirit and no hesitation to deliver revenge if she felt herself or any member of her family had been harmed.
The most well-known account of Nancy’s life begins when six British soldiers stopped at her cabin in search of a Whig leader, demanding information if he had stopped at her farm. Although the man they were tracking had been there, she denied seeing anyone.
Convinced that she was lying, one of the Tories shot and killed Hart’s prized gobbler, ordering her to cook the bird. Entering the cabin, they stacked their weapons in a corner and demanded something to drink. Hart obliged them by serving up wine. As the soldiers drank the wine, Hart sent her daughter to the spring for a bucket of water. She secretly instructed her daughter to blow a conch shell, kept in a nearby stump, to alert the neighbors that Tories were in the cabin.
As Hart served her unwelcome visitors and passed between them and their weapons, she began to pass the muskets through an opening in the cabin wall to her daughter, who had slipped outside to the rear of the house. I think a better bet would be to mint specie coins as currency accurately reflecting those metals market value.
Currently, Canada makes a very pure Maple Leaf gold coin, with a laser hologram engraved in it, sold in a sealed container. The US could do the same, but with the coins value greater than the metal market value.
That is, gold is currently around $1300 an ounce. So if the US made a one ounce gold coin, it should have a face value of $5000, for example.
Silver is around $20 an ounce, so an almost pure US silver ounce coin could have a nominal value of $500.
A one ounce copper coin might be $100.
The trick would be in the laser hologram engraving, and that each coin might be numbered and associated with an individual owner.
