Damning evidence has emerged of US President Barack Obama's dismissal of Israel's position in favor of supporting the position of Hamas and its allies during ceasefire talks.
A "senior US official" leaked an audio recording of a telephone conversation between Obama and Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu to Channel One. In it the 35-minute conversation, which took place on Sunday, the US President appears downright hostile at points, and even cuts off Netanyahu in the middle of his protestations over a one-sided truce proposal which would have seen Hamas receive all its key demands, but that Israel ultimately rejected.
The following is an excerpt of the conversation, published in Hebrew by Channel One:
Obama: I demand that Israel agrees to an immediate, unilateral ceasefire and halt all offensive activities - particularly airstrikes.
Netanyahu: What will Israel receive in return for a ceasefire?
Obama: I believe that Hamas will stop firing rockets - silence will be met with silence.
Netanyahu: Hamas violated all five previous ceasefires, it is a terrorist organization which is dedicated to the destruction of Israel.
Obama: I repeat and expect Israel to unilaterally stop all its military activity. The pictures of destruction from Gaza distance the world from Israel's position.
Netanyahu: Kerry's proposal was completely unrealistic and gives Hamas the military and diplomatic advantage.

It’s an assumption of his worldview that if the “strong” stop “oppressing the weak”, that the “weak” will not feel the need to react violently.
It just HAS to be that way, or his worldview is invalid.
Yep, that’s what I thinl this may be all about.
And for some reason, that simply does not register with leftists.
The enemies of Israel are ALWAYS the ones that fire the first shots or throw the first stones.
Then he can backpedal and ‘have it both ways’ AS USUAL!
The mark of an incompetent and irresolute person!
We have seen reports of an alleged POTUS-Netanyahu transcript; neither reports nor alleged transcript bear any resemblance to reality 1/2

Shocking and disappointing someone would sink to misrepresenting a pvt convo between POTUS and PM in fabrications to Israeli press 2/2

That is wonderful ... Love that plausible deniability.
It was my impression that the conversation was transcribed in Israel and that the transcription was leaked.
Asshat Obama.
Damn it! Fake but accurate.
Interesting.
My comment on another thread stands. The fact that this purported conversation was PLAUSIBLE is a damning indictment of 0bama. Nobody would ever have believed this of Bush (either one), Reagan, or even Slick Willy.
Well ...
Maybe Slick Willy.
But probably not.
Hannity is talking about this on his radio show now. lol! I think he is implying it is probably valid but they want to deny it to maintain diplomatic relations.
Methinks the same.
I don’t think it’s very intellectually becoming of the folks on this thread to seemingly continue to ignore your reasonably proven assertion that this is a hoax (or is otherwise unfounded).
I admit I am confused that everyone continues to respond to the original point without acknowledging its lack of veracity.
Sounds like Obama just woke up and knows nothing about whats been going on over there
We need to hear the tape to confirm that this is real.
It was leaked to channel One in Israel so it should be available if it truly exists. (Unless they jerked it.)
I too want the tape released. Let the dirty deeds begin.
Why would exposing this hurt Israel?
I ask because I think you may be right. I’ve often wondered what information they have on Hussein and wished they would release it.
I hadn’t considered your angle before.
Perhaps they think it would come to nothing here, having taken our measure. Grim thought, that. Worse, perhaps they’re keeping it in reserve for when things really get out of hand.
What are your thoughts?
