Kerry’s error has been to put so much emphasis on achieving a quick halt to the bloodshed that he has solidified the role of Hamas, the intractable, unpopular Islamist group that leads Gaza, along with the two hard-line Islamist nations that are its key supporters, Qatar and Turkey. In the process, he has undercut not simply the Israelis but also the Egyptians and the Fatah movement that runs the Palestinian Authority, all of which want to see an end to Hamas rule in Gaza.

And it could not be more wrong.
It is Obama not Kerry who is behind this. Kerry is just following orders in his own stupid, incompetent way.
It is not a mistake. It is deliberate policy to support Hamas, Qatar and Muslim terrorists.
It is bias against Israel. Bias against Israel and total, unquestioning support of Muslim terrorists.
It is not so much that the Obama Administration is in favor of a short term deal. It is that the Obama Administration wants something, anything, that they can take credit for.
It is also a strategy to prevent Israel from neutralizing Hamas and completely destroying the Hamas tunnel network.
And it is an attempt to legitimize Hamas by making its terrorists equal or superior to Israel.
If Hamas were winning and their rockets were killing Israeli civilians the Obama Administration would not be “in favor of an executable, short-term deal.”

You could go down the last hundred years, and find very few Senators that went national and made it. Add to that....he barely did one full year as a Senator, before he went into campaign/primary mode. So he went from state senator with nothing of accomplishment to one year of Senator, and then went national. You couldn’t find another example of this unless you went back to Lincoln (non-Senator but he barely did any time as a Representative).

That’s for some of Gaza, but the West Bank has never had a border...to keep PLO out of Israel, and Israeli settlers out of the West Bank.
