Battle for food stamp money, they mean?
Shouldn’t they get it for 99 cents? Just sayin’...
Truth in advertising and all...
I shop at the dollar store and I have a net worth in the top 10% according to stackup.com .
Well, maybe that’s why I do...
I bought some cheese slices at a Dollar Store - got them home and realized they didn’t actually contain any dairy at all.
The EBT retailer wars. Family Dollar must know the system is about to change.
Americans are now classified as "consumers" down from a free, united people.
What do those in government consider themselves?
“Storage Locker Wars”
“Pawn King”
Huge bull-market for DOLLAR STORES.
Explosion in use of food stamps.
ALL OF THIS POINTS TO THE SAME STORY
(which you cannot report since POTUS is black).
Top 5% here and I go to the Dollar store twice a month for certain things.
I would qualify as a poor shopper tho I hardly ever shop at either one.
Every now and then I send a package to my grandchildren and will pick up some cheap Chinese stuff for a buck each. Sometimes they are pretty neat. For instance I sent my grandson a plastic cap pistol and for 50 cents more included a bunch of extra caps.
Now these are not the same as the old roll caps we used in our Roy Rogers sixguns. They resemble small plastic primers. My Son-in-Law said they had to send him out of the house because they were so loud.
In the Era of Baraq, Wal-Mart is being undercut by dollar stores.
And Carlyle (probably the most well connected Wash DC private equity bunch) is buying trailer parks.
The future is not bright.
During the Obama regime years I’ve seen many pop up around my city. I guess that’s fundamental transformation.
We used to have Five and Dime stores.
That’s back before we had fiat currency.
I’m in the 60K range and I shop at Dollar General regularly. 20 minutes in Walmart or 4 minutes in Dollar general for the same item? Easy answer on that.
I buy lots of stuff at Dollar Tree. If you get there early Tuesday you can even get large loaves of whole grain bread. One of ours has frozen foods - 6 waffles for $1. Noticed they are carrying more things that are labeled Made in the USA. Did check out on-line to make sure they were telling the truth. Their greeting cards are great and eliminate the expensive ones from Hallmark.
Yes, packages are somewhat smaller but at a dollar per item, allows me to have a little more variety yet stay within my grocery budget. Can’t do that at a regular grocery store.
I’m in the top 5% and I love Dollar Tree. They have a very unusual selection in their food section. They carry my favorite hot sauce, “Louisiana Perfect.” People think I’m nuts for shopping there.
Dollar Tree stores are great for cheap school supplies and school room decorations (wife and daughter are teachers). Family Dollar got their arse kicked by Dollar General - wonder what Dollar Tree is going to do to fix that.
Almost everyone I know just LOVES the Dollar Tree and most are far from poor. It’s just fun to buy some things for $1, i.e., party favors, greeting cards, gift bags, etc.
It's not accurate. I shop in those stores and could afford to pay $1.05
