A proposal is being presented to the Dover City Council about the imminent relocation of up to 3,000 refugees from the Congo to the City of Dover NH. This would propose a 10% population growth in 6 years.
The proposal is believed to have a plan to move 100 families (each containing between 3-5 members) each year to Dover from now until the community “surrenders” and requests the flow to stop (similar to Manchester, NH and Lewiston, ME) but the government decides when enough is enough NOT the local community. The federal government would support these families for only 8 months and then its up to the community and state to bear the financial burden from that point.

Well, shucks - can’t we just wait until a country becomes totally empty and move to it?? Who will support all the newcomers then? I’d love to live long enough to see that but I don’t have that much time left.
What happened to NH - the Free State - where people were moving to make a start in totally turning the country around? We really don’t stand a chance, do we?

When I was a kid, “refugees” were trying to escape a war or other serious violence. Being pissed off because your country has crappy cartoons wasn’t enough to earn “refugee” status the way it is today.
They will not fit in - just as you and I would not fit in if we decided to take thousands of our fellow community members and land in a small town in the Congo. They would get rid of us quick smart.
How weird is this? The government of the USA displacing it’s citizens with uneducated, unskilled people from screwed-up countries...countries they screwed up. This US government is out of control. Where are some patriots in positions of authority?
They should be sent to the People’s Republic of Vermont. Let Bernie Sanders take care of them.
