Putin is doubling down on the separatists. We continue to see arms flow across border from Russia to Ukraine.
Russia is also firing artillery from within Russia into Ukraine.
Although our preference is a diplomatic solution to Ukraine crisis, we remain ready to impose further costs on Russia as warranted

If I were Putin I would be very, very worried. If he doesn’t start behaving I am almost certain Obama will send him a strongly worded letter and Susan Rice will call him a doo-doo head on Twitter.

And because Susan Rice is a recognized liar throughout the entire world except for the American left, Vladimir Putin chuckled heartily.
Susan is a liar and therefore has no credibility, much like her boss. I know it, you know it, and Putin knows it.

All these WashDC politicos issuing all these threats against Russia, and in public too ... is this the best kind of “diplomacy” they can come up with? It seems to me that this “Walk Loudly and Carry a Teenie Weenie” approach to foreign policy is not quite what Teddy Roosevelt (one of the “progressive” demi-gods) meant....?

1 approach 1 — quiet down and do little
2.approach 2 — make noise but in private talks so that Russia’s leaders actually can compromise with us, if they are so inclined (all these public threats literally force the Russian leadership into a corner where they CANNOT give us any significant concessions even if they were so inclined), or
3. the current approach ... provocative, yes, but certainly not persuasive .. and does not permit Russia to compromise or concede anything to us
or perhaps the desired result is the predictable one, to further provoke Russia... into a wider armed conflict ?
Did Obama tell her to draw a red line?
Did she say whether a video caused the shootdown?
