Obama administration officials said Thursday that Russia is firing artillery from its own territory into Ukraine to hit Ukrainian military sites, pointing to escalating Russian involvement in the deadly conflict.
“This clearly is a military escalation,” Pentagon spokesman Col. Steve Warren said, adding there is no question that Russian military—as opposed to Russia-backed separatists—are firing the shots.
State Department spokeswoman Marie Harf first made the accusation during a press briefing earlier Thursday. She also claimed Moscow is boosting its military shipments to pro-Russian separatists. …

If Putin wants to take over the Ukraine by the end of this year with no opposition from the West, all he has to do is time Russia’s rocket attacks to coincide with Obama’s fund-raising speeches around the country, which will continue until the November elections.
Putin can be confident that Obama will not cut his fundraising visits short to return to the White House in order to deal with missiles exploding on Ukrainian cities. For Obama to do so would look so un-cool, which, in Obama’s adolescent mind, is the worst possible thing that can happen.
During Obama’s long vacation at Martha’s Vineyard next month, the Russians can time their attacks to coincide with the start of Obama’s golf games. Obama would never stop a golf outing for any reason, probably even including a terrorist attack on an American city. It would destroy his all-important façade of calmness, which must be preserved at any cost.

The Russkies will get away with it. The Euroweenies are pathetically weak, and Obama isn’t going to do anything serious. We must pray for the Ukrainians. If they have God on their side, it doesn’t matter how much of an army Russia throws at them.
The Ukrainians have fought valiantly against the Russians and the Kremlin puppet Presidency. And there will be a long and costly guerilla war if Putin does a fully on invasion, but the Ukrainian military equipment would not last long in regular warfare against a full on Russian invasion.
I cannot stand her or the other State Dept. bimbette. All the leftists do is mock their nemesis, Sarah Palin. The actual losers are all in this evil administration.

If you are just an atheist, there is not much we can talk about.
If you’re just a Deist, who believes that God does whatever you want Him to do, whenever you and a couple friends pull His chain with a prayer , then you’re right; there’s nothing logical (or intelligent) to talk about.

-My definition of " blasphemy" is when puny human beings such as yourself, who pretend to know God's will, claim prayers to God will grant *your* side victory in war. The logical conclusion is that your belief is that God's will is to kill any opponents in war, because you prayed for victory, and its God's Will that it will turn out *your* way, no matter how many innocent people on both sides are killed to get that victory. If that's your version of righteousness, then, I guess it's just a matter of which side prays the hardest. Looks like the opponents are praying for victory, also. This is truly a conundrum for your "just war".
