Senior U.S. intelligence officials said Tuesday that Russia was responsible for "creating the conditions" that led to the shooting down of Malaysia Airlines Flight 17, but they offered no evidence of direct Russian government involvement.
The intelligence officials were cautious in their assessment, noting that while the Russians have been arming separatists in eastern Ukraine, the U.S. had no direct evidence that the missile used to shoot down the passenger jet came from Russia.
The officials briefed reporters Tuesday under ground rules that their names not be used in discussing intelligence related to last week's air disaster, which killed 298 people.

Pro-Russian rebels, with Captured UKRAINIAN equipment, likely did it.
Remember, it was just a few days ago that Kiev was denying that the rebels had captured a Buk, despite all of the video and photo evidence on Twitter and Youtube.
The video of the transporter “going across the border” is most likely fake, as well, according to the Russians. When the “Convenient” crop of the photo taken from a youtube vid is taken out, it shows a billboard for a car dealer. In a city Kiev has had undisputed control of since May 11th.

Presumably he got Putin to take only south-eastern Ukraine to buffer/protect Crimea. That's a tidy little deal.

Those were “Seized/impounded” by Kiev shortly after the accident. They could tell a lot.
‘Yesterday’ Russia sent Obama and, ‘ALL’ nation leaders, their Official Assessment from the evidence they had....with that questions they wanted answers to...and there were definately ones needing answers.
It was posted on youtube in full...( a half hour long)...so I listened to the entire presentation given by a top Officer..... Now there are only segments here and there on youtube that I could find...and these certainly didn’t tell the whole picture which was presented.
So today Obama goes hush and state dept spokesman stumbles answering reporters question....
This is going pretty much now as I suspected it will...regardless of who is to blame it won’t be Russia, Ukraine or any party that would be liable ..who has revenues.
Further Putin has said in the past he has information about Obama that could do him harm...he may have pulled that card and Obama sat down.

There’s no direct link because the missile didn’t come from Russia territory; and the Buk gone missing and can’t be traced to Russia. Indirectly, by supporting the militants with men and weapons, Russia has blood on its hands

Oh I do think Obama got caught with his pants down....on this Airlines Tragedy....and Russia called him on it. So he’s backed off from the Russia blame game for now. (checkmate)
Something more happened ‘in the air’ when and after the plane went off radar...and why did it do so...I’m not satisfied with the answer that this sometimes happens....in an accident like this you better KNOW why it went off radar...and give a proper explanation. That has not come forward so far except via Russia’s presentation

So, are the Russians returning to the story that Ukraine shot down a plane at 33,000 feet in response to separatists who do not have an air force? You should know.
I was kind of thinking the same on the incident you are speaking of. We are probably never going to know the truth.

What we do know is that the O admin is capable of anything. Manipulation is their game.
There are four separate major Rebel commanders, and they don’t cooperate or coordinate very well. Strelkov/Girkin is a Russian Nationalist, while Bezler is a Ukrainian-born Russian. Mogiliev (sp?) is also a Ukrainian Russian. I don’t know much about the 4th.
It is clear that while Russia is supporting them, especially civilian Russia (Bezler has a BIG Russian-language Social Media fundraising operation) that really wasn’t any more than a “wink,wink” kind of thing until on or about June 27, when it became clear the Kiev was using the ceasefire-that-wasn’t-actually-a-ceasefire to gather huge forces against the rebels.
This is utterly ridiculous.
