Highly unlikely. Almost all (maybe all) flight insurance excludes war, insurrection, civil unrest and about 100 more synonyms for fighting.
Good question. Insurance might, but airlines might have gotten off the hook since the FAA is the one who “forced” them. Had they done it on their own they would probably have to pay out, but you can’t fight Uncle Sam! I bet airlines might have even asked FAA to cover for them. Even though I believe FAA acted on behalf of this admin to put pressure on Israel. The irony is, as Mark Levin pointed out, if Palestinian rockets can halt the Israeli airport it gives Israel all the more reason to never fully surrender the West Bank since all commercial flights fly over West Bank to land in Israel. They could never let the West Bank get militarized and hold the country hostage
