Former Republican presidential candidate Ron Paul claimed Sunday that the U.S. and European Union may share responsibility for the downing of a Malaysia Airlines plane over Ukraine last week.
“While western media outlets rush to repeat government propaganda on the event, there are a few things they will not report,” Paul, a former Republican congressman from Texas, wrote on his website. “They will not report that the crisis in Ukraine started late last year, when the EU and U.S. overthrew the elected Ukrainian president, Viktor Yanukovych. Without U.S.-sponsored ‘regime change,’ it is unlikely that hundreds would have been killed in the unrest that followed. Nor would the Malaysian Airlines crash have happened.”

By the way, it’s actually all Reagan’s fault. Had he not snookered them into tearing down that wall, the Soviet Union would’ve still had a choke-hold on the entire region and none of this would’ve happened. Of course, the entire world may have become a glass parking lot, but you never know.
He’s a disgrace. The Ukrainian people overthrew a corrupt government run in the interest of Putin. Putinistas don’t get that, but that’s what happened when Putin vetoed that president’s intentions to join the EU.

That’s it for me. I have lost all patience with Rand Paul. He has some good positions, but defending the West is number one role for the government, and anyone who cannot understand who Putin is, is too dull for the job of President.
We can’t stand two unqualified Presidents in a row. In fact, we can’t survive ONE in a row!

If you based this on a comment from a newsreader on ANY newschannel, you should have been a bit more circumspect with posting it as fact. Newsreaders have a long history of getting facts profoundly wrong.
The principal thing you need to know is that no US airline flies a route that would take them anywhere near Ukraine in the first place.
I read his article in full. Despite his “let’s wait for the facts” conclusion, which is in and of itself reasonable, my take away thought was simply...
