“We do not know his cause of death at this time.
I once asked what the cause of death was and the answer was “massive heart stoppage”. We’ll miss ya Jim

RIP. But you will live forever on screens everywhere.
Have had “36 Hours” on DVR for a long while but haven’t watched it yet. It’s one of those movies I’ve seen parts of over the years but never all at once. I guess this would be a good time now.
I always thought it was sad when they brought Garner in to help keep “8 Simple Rules...” alive after John Ritter’s death. The heart was gone from the show and nothing could save it.
I was out of the country and missed all of the 90s Rockford Files TV movies. Were they any good compared to the series?

Just on a goof, we were watching some old “Stingray” episodes last night. I read somewhere that the Troy Tempest marionette was designed to look like James Garner. You be the judge...

I knew him as the guy in the Poloroid commercials with Mariette Hartley, and of course, the Rockford files.
I also liked him in a old movie he did with Harry Morgan.
RIP

I believe he was a decorated Korean War Veteran with two Purple Hearts.
Like to joke that were fighting North Korea and he was heading south ......
Shot in the butt I believe.......

Very sad news. A mans man, as beloved for his real-life personality as his memorable on-screen characters. For one stretch of time it seemed he was the Indy 500 pace car driver every year,

James Garner was similar to Dean Martin, in that they did great performances for their directors, made it seem easyThey were Bruce Campbell before Bruce was Bruce.
