We had about a hundred people present at our anti-illegal alien protest in Sacramento today. We had people representing Oath Keepers, Overpasses for America, Free Republic and other groups, including a contingent of volunteers from the Bolinas Border Patrol.
There was only one counter protester that I'm aware of and in the end she gave in and took up an American flag and a "Secure the Borders" sign. I overheard her say, "OMG, I've always been a flaming liberal and now I'm a member of the tea party!" But she was also an admitted lunatic and possibly an escapee from the asylum. She kept hiding whenever the park police came around and said she was afraid of being arrested.
They had several speakers and then let members from the crowd step up to say their piece. Some of these brave patriots were really great speakers. One was a non-PC black man and quite a constitutional patriot. We also heard from a black woman who wants to run for office and a Mexican lady who was upset about all the illegals coming in when people she knew had to work hard to come in legally. Syncro even got an opportunity to voice his opinion.
Lots of people there taking pictures and video, but only one media operation that I saw--RT (The Russian Times). I'm guessing they'll be just about as truthful as our media (maybe more so than many).
We met representatives from a couple of groups who may help us on the ground in Texas when we go next week. We (the three amigos from the Bolinas Border Patrol) are planning to go to the border in the Rio Grande Valley sector next week to see what we can do about slowing down the flow of illegals at the source. Hoping we can get some Texans to join us at the border (please ping your lists if you can help).

This woman and her whole family immigrated to the USA many years ago.
They all waited in their country until the were approved, it took years.
Back then there were a lot of rules (and still are) such as being financially stable, learning English etc.
After I spoke, a man came up to me and said his wife is in Mexico waiting to be approved for citizenship here.
She has been waiting 3 years.

She was too conservative, so the GOPe wouldn't get behind her.
She said she is thinking of moving to Texas to run there, she would have a better chance I think.
I invited her to go with us to Texas this week, but she would have had to get back before we are planning on returning.
