GAZA CITY Even as Israeli forces pushed deeper into the Gaza Strip, unleashing intense artillery fire as they moved to demolish militants tunnels into Israel, several Hamas fighters slipped through one of the passages on Saturday and killed two Israeli soldiers on patrol before being driven back, the Israeli military said.
The infiltration, the second in three days, was the latest indication that the tunnel network from Gaza into Israel is far more extensive than previously publicly known. The attack seemed to send a message that Hamas was undeterred in its efforts to launch assaults on Israel, and it could spur a new escalation: Israel cited an earlier infiltration on Thursday as the immediate catalyst for its ground invasion of Gaza.
The military said the infiltrators on Saturday had planned a lethal attack in a nearby community, but did not name the town. Hamas media also reported that fighters had crossed enemy lines and engaged Israeli forces....

Tear gas is not unfair under the Geneva Conventions; if I recall correctly, it’s permissible.
They be whipping up on them bad boys.
You can see the arty flashes and missile strikes and flares and you can hear the drones buzzing around.
Not suicidal, they have tactical weapons capable of wiping out entire armies with no harm to theselves.
Israel probably has 200 fission nuclear weapons. No fusion (thermonuclear) weapons, as they are much more expensive and difficult, and they have no enemies big enough to need one.
This being said, what they need in this case are thermobaric or fuel air explosives. Much like killing gophers in a hole, you spray a lot of propane gas into a tunnel, then toss in a hand grenade. First, there is a massive overpressure, as all the air inside the tunnel is combusted, then the ceiling and walls collapse.
In their place, I would get a heavy vehicle with a large propane tank strongly secured horizontally in the back, with a quick release pressure valve. Spray it down the hole (propane is heavier than air), until about 10 pounds of gas are down there. Then move away from the tunnel entrance and pitch in the grenade. Pop.
If there is equipment or weapons down there that have to be destroyed, you use a thermobaric weapon to raise the tunnel temperature to perhaps 800-1000F for some seconds.
There are tools that use sound waves, I think, to detect fault lines over a wide area underground. They might detect tunnels too.
I know for a fact that they have both and in the numbers I stated earlier. Their SLBMs are nuclear but they have the big boys, joining the elite club of only about half a dozen nations.
Things change. I don’t suppose I am particularly surprised. At some point Israel probably considered that one of the “power players” in the world would try and blackmail them to surrender their nukes. But that might only work if they had fission weapons. Everybody is intimidated by fusion weapons.
I have no problem suggesting sarin or VX or mustard. None whatsoever.
As you probably already know the “trigger” for an “H-Bomb” is an “A-Bomb” located inside. Two or three more “Tsar Bomba” size tests and we’d all probably be dead.
Isn’t “roach spray” just essentially very watered-down VX? How appropriate.
How about carbon monoxide? Odorless, tasteless, deadly...
Twists and turn to that one. Tsar Bomba was designed to be 100mt, but was modified to be between 50-58mt. And almost its entire force was from fusion, so it made very little fallout, especially being detonated at about 4km as an air burst.
So, if it was popped at full force in a ground burst, it would be far more dirty and dangerous, but it is still questionable that three of them could wipe out mankind.
